Compelled To Remember

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada and the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs co-present Compelled to Remember during the 32nd Annual Holocaust Education Week, Sunday, November 4, 2012, from 3:00pm to 4:30pm at the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto.

Survivors and first and second generation children and grandchildren of survivors of both the Holocaust and Residential Schools will discuss and compare their experiences of historical trauma and injustice, healing and recovery, the work of keeping memories alive and reconciliation. This program will explore parallels and differences between the Jewish and Aboriginal legacies and will focus on the need of injured communities to remember and to speak.
